On Monday 16th September Alan Forder on behalf of Asquith Bowling Club’s Monday Bowls Group handed across a cheque for $6,500 to Jenny Philps, Community Relations Manager for Children’s Medical Research Institute Jeans for Genes.

The Monday Bowls Group have worked tirelessly to raise the funds over the past year. The funds were gratefully received by the Children’s Medical Research Institute; being earmarked for the vital cause of finding cures for children’s genetic diseases.

To celebrate, Jenny and Julie’s from the Jeans for Genes a morning tea was held for them where Alan provided the cheque also gave the ladies a world-famous Asquith Bowling Club Men’s Roo Pennant Shirt to be given to the centre at Westmead.
